Surprise Grand 75th Birthday celebration of Justice T.Jayaram Chouta brought emotions

Puttur, Aug 26 : Relatives, family members and friends celebrated the 75th birthday of Former High Court Judge Justice Jayarama Chouta at his sister's farm house "NESARA" near Puttur as a pleasant surprise to the Birthday boy. The event was celebrated on 7th August, 2012. Justice Chouta was a very competent criminal lawyer and also served as State Public Prosecutor prior to his appointment as Judge at the Madras High Court. After his retirement,he was appointed as the President of the Karnataka State Consumer Redressal Commission for a 5 years term. He still continues his service as an Arbitrator handling several litigations. He has also served as President of the prestigious Sadashivanagar Club and has been a top class Badminton player having won the all India Advocate championship held many years back. He has two sons. Sandeep ,an Engineer with MBA who works in Sydney and Sandesh who continues his father's profession and practices law at Karnataka High court. Both sons were state level Badminton players .

Justice Chouta's 75th Birthday Celebration began by seeking the blessing of the almighty by performing traditional pooja. Later on a ceremonial tree was planted to commemorate the occasion. Gathered relatives and friends in around 300 nos who came locally and from Sydney, Doha, Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore were assigned under 4 teams with four colour codes.  The teams had both playing captains and non-playing captains. Justice Chandrashekarayya, Justice Jagdeeshan, Former Advocate General Shri.B.V.Acharya & Sr.Chennai High Court Advocate Shri.Natarajan were the non playing captains.

Volley ball ,Foot ball ,Tug of war and few games on the swimming pool were organised which was participated and enjoyed by all  with full enthusiasm though the day experienced continuous rain.

Stage programme in the evening commenced at 5.45 pm by lighting of the lamp by Mrs Shanta Jayarama Chouta and all the elder ladies of the family. Various cultural items were presented by the children of  the family. Children enjoyed the occasion and participated in the cake cutting ceremony along with the family members. Many close associates recalled the sweet memories they had in association with Justice Chouta. Former Karnataka Lokayuktha and Supreme Court Judge Sri Santhosh Hegde lauded the great qualities of Mr.Chouta and noted that he earned a very good name at Chennai High court and wished him many more years of healthy and peaceful life ahead. Justice Patri, former Upa-Lokayuktha & High Court Judge described Justice Chouta as one of the greatest human beings. Justice Farooq recalled the wonderful association he had with Justice Chouta as State Public Prosecutor colleagues. Five times  former Advocate General Sri. B.V.Acharya gave a brief of his 40 years of association and spoke very high about his focus, concentration and great values as a human being and his outstanding services to the legal field. He further emphasised that his greatest contribution to the legal field is his son Sandesh, who he said, will surely become one of the eminent lawyers in the country. Justice Jagdeeshan recalled his fond memories as his collegue in the Chennai high court and narrated a touching incident highlighting the kindness of Justice Chouta. Justice Chandrashekaraya too spoke in very high esteem and mentioned that Justice.Chouta lead the successful life with no enemies around. Mr.M.A.M.Ramaswamy former M.P & a well known Insustrialist lauded the principled life of Justice Chouta. Mr.S.S.Mani,Industrialist, Sr.High Court Advocate Mr.Vyasa Rao , Mr.Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli, Mr.Chandrahasa Kava and Mr.Kittanna Rai  spoke on the occasion and highlighted the unparallel qualities of Justice Chouta. Many dignitaries including Justice Umesh Shetty,Sr.Lawyers Mr.Seetharam Shetty ,Mr.Prabhakar Bhat,BL Acharaya, , Mr.Pavin,Mr.Raja Subramanya Bhat, Bunts Sangha Puttur President former Deputy Supdt of Police Mr.Jagannath Rai and Business man and philontrophist Mr.K.D.Shetty attended the occasion.

Specially designed Memento was presented to Justice Chouta on behalf of all the family members and friends.
Justice Chouta responded with emotions and deeply moved by the love and affection shown by his relatives and friends and thanked all for organizing the event in an unique style and magnitude.

Bhavishya, daughter of Justice Chouta's nephew Prakash and Sujatha ,who has secured 98.75% in the PUC exam and 94 rank in the CET was felicitated on this occasion. Prizes were distributed to winners in the various event.

Justice Chouta's grandson Shashank was the event Manager who was well supported by Sons Sandeep,Sandesh ,daughters in law Anisha and Akshatha and nephews Dinesh, Sukumar, Ravi, Prakash, Sudheer, Dasprakash, Surendra and many more relatives and friends. Justice Chouta's nephew Ravi who is also the President of Bunts Qatar was the MC of the event.
