Mangalore, Sep 10: MLA Krishna J Palemar inaugurated the fifth National Consumer Fair at Karavali Utsav Grounds here on Sunday September 9.

Cine stars of Tulu Movie 'Sompa' Ajatha Shatru and Namratha Hegde also accompanied Palemar during the inauguration.

Speaking after the inauguration, Palemar said that it was a happy moment for the people in the city as they could spend some time here with their family and friends. "The National Consumer fair is being organized for five consecutive years and has kept its standards by attracting people," he added.

"I am sure the fair will also do its best for the people in the city by providing various kinds of entertainment," he said, adding that he wished to see the fair continue in the coming years also and appreciated the efforts made by the organizers.

The exhibition will consist of around 100 stalls offering huge discounts and offers – including automobiles, home appliances, kitchen appliances, chimneys, hobs, solar products, handlooms, handicrafts, dress materials, fashion, footwear, health and fitness equipment, toys, books, stationary, FMCG, food products, and many more exhibits from all over India.

For entertainment, the exhibition has over 25 amusement rides including an artificial boating lake, break dance, dragon train, Italian tora-tora, jumping frog, dashing car, aero plane, titanic, horse merry-go-grounds, fish merry-go-grounds etc.

A large boating pool for the visitors, children’s boating pool, latest amusement rides from Europe like dragon slide, country car, battery car have also been lined up for the enthusiasts. 
The exhibition will be remain open from 4 pm to 9 pm every evening for 45 days.
