Konkani Tiatr in Abu Dhabi:  ‘Jem Favona Tem Mevona’

Abu Dhabi, Nov 16: Are you missing the traditional Goan entertainment of Tiatr in Abu Dhabi? Yes, Comedian Agostinho with his troupe will be right here in Abu Dhabi to energize and entertain you with his hilarious comedy enthralled with electrifying comedy songs along with Comedian Selvy and Anita including professionals of the Konkani stage Francisca, Roma, Jovito, Ratnakant, Salvador, Joaquim, Mathew, Olavo, Gabrial and Goan ace musicians Norman and Agnelo. 

The show is scheduled for the 20th November 2009 at the Abu Dhabi Folklore and Theatre Society, besides Zayed University, Muroor Road – Abu Dhabi from 4:30 pm onwards. The same show will be staged on the 19th November from 9:00 pm onwards at Al Nasr Leisureland (Pool side), Dubai. This performance comes from the super hit writer and director of the double century shows of the much applauded Tiatr ‘Police I & II’ staged in the last season in Goa, Gulf and the United Kingdom. 

Tiatr (Konkani drama) ‘Jem Favona Tem Mevona’, the crowd-puller and acclaimed to be the best show of the current season will stage the siver jubilee show in the UAE. This show promises a 3 hours blast of comedy, passionate dialogues, glittered with entertainment, flanked with a lesson on morals and stuffed with the traditional enacted play on current social and political gimmicks from Goa.

This is the 4th tiatr organized by Abu Dhabi Goans in our emirate - Abu Dhabi. This honors the patriotism of all Abu Dhabi Goans, the Konkani speaking community in Abu Dhabi from the Konkan region, love for our land – Goa; and our language – Konkani. All the artistes and the musicians are professional Tiatrists of the Goan Konkani stage. Utterly, the show pledges for an exciting evening for the Tiatr lovers away from our home land.
