Recipes - Spanish Omelette

Ingredients:

3 eggs
5 -6 fresh mushrooms or tinned
1 small onion
1 small tomato
A pinch of pepper powder
2 tbsp. grated cheese
2 tbsp.  olive oil / butter
Salt to taste

Method:

Chop onions, mushrooms and tomato into fine pieces.  Beat the eggs and set aside. Heat 1 tbsp. of oil/butter in a non stick pan. Add chopped onion and fry until soft. Now add tomato and mushrooms, sauté for few seconds until the mushroom is soft. Add salt and pepper powder, mix it nicely. Remove this mixture and set aside. Rinse the pan and heat it again adding 1 tbsp. of oil.  Add the beaten eggs ,and spread evenly.  Spread the mushroom mixture on top and cook on slow fire. Lastly sprinkle grated cheese and fold the omelet and serve hot.

    I agree with the comments. Spanish Omlette has potatoes among other things as ingredients and no mushrooms. This may be good as well, but not Spanish.

    My earlier comment is not meant to criticise but to enlighten.
    When my Mangalorean friend showed me the recipe, being an Enlishman of Spanish origin, I was appalled to see the incorrect title of the recipe. A Spanish omlette is a unique dish with a unique recipe. Your Canadian friend appears to have incorrectly labelled a mushroom omlette as a spanish omlette.
    I have always felt that one must keep an open mind and one learns something new everyday.
    Please do not take this as criticism but view the feedback positively.

    This recepi is given by one of of my canadian friend. In internet u can find like same dish u can make in various types. This doesn,t mean u n Mr. philip have to critisize the one who want to share the dish with my native people. U can think it is a mashroom omlette n have it.
