    dear olita, Jeera rice is one of the types of rice, its very mini sized grain, in konkani it is called as jirsal tandoo.Name of the rice is jeera rice like basmati etc..and not as u mentioned as jeera tadka..

    As per my knowledge, Jeera means cumin seeds. Jeera rice is a rice dish prepared using cumin seeds tempering. In this recipe jeera rice needs to be prepared or only jeera along with channa dal and broken wheat needs to be pressure cooked??

    Hi Shahida.Thanks for the recipe.This recipe of Haleem is novel to me.Coconut milk to the haleem must be giving a great taste.I use Shan haleem masala for mutton version and it comes out great.I am sure this taste great.I will try soon.

    Hi Shaki,

    You use the same ingredients as above but use less coconut to make the curry more pungent and spicy. Alternatively, instead of coconut milk, you can grind 5 tablespoons of fresh/desiccated coconut while grinding the masala. You may also add 2 or 3 slit green chillies and a small piece of chopped ginger to the curry while boiling.

    Thanks For the recipe.Love it, tastes really good but used Veg Oil instead of Olive.
    The only catch is Olive Oil, olive oil releases a bad odour if heated over a long period(such as frying onions).

    The cucumber & jaggery water/ juice is enough to wet the rawa. In case the mixture is too dry, you may add some water to adjust the consistency.
