Dear Irene and family,

Its more than a year that dear Alexis left for his onward journey. I have no words to express how sad these news felt. Why it struck me today to give your names on internet and find how you guys are doing. Seeing Alexis Fotograph and then going thru details and condolence messages kept me stunned and sad. I deeply condole dear Alexis's demise. He was a very dear friend, who helped wherever he could, whenever he could, and always with a smile. Very very sorry dear Irene. A great personality, a great soul, a great human.

I'm really saddened at the demise of Alexis Menezes (Alsie) of Loreto on 18th March 2018. Came to know of it from Facebook just yesterday when I viewed the video clip of his funeral. I hasten to extend my hearty condolences to all those who feel the loss of such a fine person - a great soul indeed! I knew Alsie from my childhood when he used to teach Sunday Catechism in Loreto and sing the Latin mass along with other young men. I recall to mind my visit to his house along with Fr. Felix D'Souza, in 1988, in Brussels. God had blessed Alsie in many ways and he in turn shared these blessings with many. May God reward him richly in his heaveny Kingdom. Sincere sympathies to Alsie's bereaved family.

Alsi Menezes was known to me, since 1956. He was 2 years senior to me in S.V.S.High School, Bantwal. He had joined Indian Tea Board early in 1970s and was able to reach the position of Deputy Director. May His Soul Rest In Peace.

I wish to convey my grief at the sad demise of Alsiyab to Iri, Vinod, and Veena and to the extended Menezes’ family in Loretto. My parental house was adjucent to his in loretto and he was our hero . He was also the heartthrob of many in the locality. In his own palatial house in Brussels, there was great food and drink whosoever visited this beautiful family. When I went to visit him in 1991 he was overjoyed and extended a royal treatment to me. We will all miss his great flair for life and his great attachment to his home in Loretto.
