Joachim (Joe) Fernandes (71), husband of Assumpta Fernandes, father of Arun / Asha, Reshma / Dominic, Roshan / Sherien, grandfather of Alita, Ancel, Mia Lavina, Luke, Jaden and Ian, passed away on January 23, 2018.

The funeral mass will be held on January 24, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Holy Ghost Church (opp. Richards Park), off Davis Road, Richards Town, Bengaluru, followed by burial at Kammanahalli RC Cemetry (behind Banaswadi Police Station).

Joe was a previous President of Konkani Catholic Association, Bangalore (KONCAB) and an ex-Professor of St. Joseph's Arts & Science College, Bangalore.

As President of KONCAB and being an ex-lecturer at St. Joseph's, he brought a lot of talent, vision and collaboration with other Konkani Associations to realize the potential of Konkani brethren in Bangalore, especially in the Hennur-Banaswadi-Kammanahalli-Frazer Town areas.
