Funeral cortege leaves from Marbella House, Jai Hind Road, Monkey Stand, 1st Cross, Marnamikatte on Saturday 27 May 2017 at 3.30 pm. Mass at 4.00 pm in the Chapel of Rosario Cathedral opposite St Anthony's Ashram, Jeppu, Mangalore, followed by burial at the adjoining cemetery.

Philomena was truly the sweetest, most generous person I have known. She was always supporting, helping, or encouraging others. I remember that every time somebody from the U.S. visited India, she would always call and ask, "What can I send you?" The black pepper she sent every time from Felix's family's trees became legendary. But what meant the most was that her first thought was of what she could do for someone else. She was a loving mother to Darryl and Delna, and raised them to be helpful and caring like her. I will remember her kindness and her beautiful smile most of all.

My sister Philomena was the nicest, kindest, most caring person you would ever meet. She saw good in everyone and always tried to help others. Her generosity of spirit was inspiring to all of us.
I will miss talking to her regularly to get the latest family and neighborhood "khobros" and having a good laugh.
She was a good mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend to all. I will remember her always with a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone.
I'm grateful that I got a chance to spend some time with her before she passed away. It was a sad sight to see her unresponsive, but I'm glad I got to say goodbye.

Shattered to hear about the passing away of a dear friend, my classmate from St Anthony's High School, Chembur. We reconnected through Whatsapp after 40 long years and as the group grew in number from 20 to 40+ classmates, Philo was one of the most active members, chipping in ever so regularly just to stay in touch with friends. Philo along with a few others took the lead to organize our much anticipated trip to Kumarakom, Kerala in January 2018. But an unkind fate willed otherwise and we lost our cheerful, loving friend. We miss you dear Philo, each and everyone on the SAGHS'74 group have fond memories that we will forever cherish. We love you, RIP dear friend.
