Princia Mascarenhas (19), student of II year E&E, St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, daughter of Peter Ronald Mascarenhas & Mary Mascarenhas, sister of Rinisha Mascarenhas, Kelmbet (Bola), granddaughter of Jerome Mascarenhas & the late Marceline Mascarenhas, Kelmbet, Fredrick Mendonca & Celestine Mendonca, Belman, niece of Fr Joseph (Allahabad), Fr Roman (Aizawl), Fr Henry (Udupi), Fr Sunil (Allahabad), Sr Alice UFS, Gregory (Urwa), Denis (Saudi/Moodbidri), Philip (Saudi/Kinnigoli), Gracy (Niddodi), Stany (Kelmbet), Felcy (Moodubelle), Valerian (Cascia), Kishori (Belman), Cynthia (USA) & Clifford (USA), passed away on January 23, 2017.

Funeral cortege leaves residence “Mascarenhas Compound”, for St John Bosco Church, Kelmbet on Wednesday, January 25 at 3.30 pm. Mass at 4.00 pm

It is most unexpected and most unwelcome. I have no words of consolation to the parents, sister Renisha, relatives and batch mates of Princia.
I had seen her as a small child years ago and then again many years later when she, accompanied with her parents and Renisha came to visit me at my place just before she was to be admitted into engineering.
It was a shocking news of her fall and then being in coma for many weeks.
I pay my allegiance to Maria, Princia's mother having taken care of me when I was under treatment in Bombay Hospital, Mumbai where she was working as a nurse.
Maria and Rony have lost a promising child, without whose presence their life will be sorrowful. But Maria and Rony, Please live for your daughter Renisha.
Please remember that she too equally sorrowful like you and all your dear and near ones.
Be the joy for her sake.
Everyone's prayers have carried Princia to the Heavenly Father's bosom.
May her Soul Rest In Peace.

We saw the sad news from the time this young lady from the Vamanjoor Engineering College suffered the attack. We did not know her but we whispered a short prayer each day so that she will slowly but steadily recover to her normalcy. It was God's desire to have Princia Mascarenhas in heaven at her prime age of youth so that Princia could serve God more than her family and friends on this earth. May God take care of Princia. She is in heaven and she will console her beloved parents, brothers and sisters more than we could. It's a tough tragedy not only for the family but also for the students of Vamanjoor where she pursued her Engineering studies. May God help them all, and may Princia rest in peace.
