Robert D’Souza (55), son of late Joseph D’Souza and Mrs. Severine D’Souza of Devaragudde, Moodubelle and husband of Matilda Fernandes (formerly teaching at St. Joseph’s Indian High School and presently serving at Schneider Electric GTCI, Bangalore) of Pius Nagar, Kundapur, passed away at Bangalore on Saturday, February 16, 2013 as a result of cardiac arrest.
Late Robert D’Souza is survived by his daughters Reema(Working at HCL, Bangalore, Son-in-law Livin(Azul Systems,Bangalore) and Reethika (Infosys, Mysore) and grandson Miachael.
Late Robert D’Souza is the younger brother of Dr. Eugene D’Souza (Media Coordinator of Bellevision Media Network and Principal of St. Lawrence College, Moodubelle), John D’Souza (Doha-Qatar), Cyril D’Souza (Mumbai) and elder brother of Lilly Rasquinha (Mumbai) and Valerian D’Souza (Mumbai).
Late Robert D’Souza has been an Electrical Contractor in Bangalore for the last 25 years. He has worked as Electrical Contractor in Jesuit Institutions such as St. Joseph’s College and also for Holy Cross Fathers. He rendered his service for Convents such as Jyothi Niwas College St. Anne’s, St. Vincent Pallotti and Ursuline Sisters. Since three he has been working on a major project in St. John’s Medical College and Hospital.
The sudden passing away of Robert D’Souza has shocked not only his family and friends but also those who knew him. By his honesty, hard work and sincerity, late Robert D’Souza’s work has been appreciated by all those institutions to whom he had rendered his service.
Rev. Dr. Lawrence D’Souza, Director of St. John’s Medical College and Hospital has expressed shock at the sudden demise of Robert D’Souza.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 3 pm in St. Antony’s Friary Church, Madiwala, followed by burial at Sacred Heart Cemetary at Hosur Road.
Most Rev. Dr. Gerald Mathias, Bishop of Lucknow will be offering Funeral Mass along with Rev. Fr. Valerian Fernandes from Aurangabad Dioces and brother of Matilda, Fr. Raymond Fernandes from Ajmer, nephew of Matilda and other priests.
