Sridhar Shettiger (50), Cherkady, Physics Lab attender at Milagres College, Kallianpur ( 1984 till date), brother of Prof Jayaram Shettiger, HOD History, Milagres College, Kallianpur, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at around 8 am, due to a major heart attack. He was immediately admitted to Mahesh Hospital in Brahmavar, but doctors declared him dead.

The Milagres College, Kallianpur declared a holiday in respect to his on duty death. The Milagres College had held an Assembley at 10 am in campus. Prof Melwin Rego, introduced the deceased Sridhar Shettiger & on behalf of Staff & Students of College, Dr Gerald Pinto, gave a heartfelt condolence. Dr Neri Cornalio, Principal, Milagres College, expressed his grief at the loss of the staff member. All PU & Degree Staff & Students were present in the assembly.
