Football (Poem)

By Dillon Monis - UK

Sep 14, 2009
This edition we shall read a poem on football, which is one of the favourite games of nine-year old Dillon Brian Monis. Dillon lives in the U.K. and studies in the fourth standard at St. Gilda's Catholic School. Mum Lucy and Dad Denis originally hail from Madanthyar and hope this published item will boost Dillon's confidence to write more. We hope the same Dillon and wish you all the best. Well done. Before I take your leave, thanks to all the parents who make a special point to thank me and Daijiworld for this column. It's indeed a joy for me to see the comments and the encouragement that our kids receive. I read them all and hope you do the same. Sophia Rodrigues Editor - Kids ARENA
FOOTBALL

By Dillon Monis - UK (9-year-old)
When the lightening flashes, The excited boy zooms through the field, but crashes. Suddenly he roared amazingly loudly "look at me", But he forgets the cheerful crowd can't see ! Soon the crowd start to cheer, Then the people on the pitch really can't hear ! As the team gain possession, You can see their happy expression.
The boy kicks the ball as hard as a rock, Then someone in the crowd gets an electric shock. The second half beginds with a quiet noise, Soon the away team have some poise. as quick as a flash, a boy runs with exhilarating pace, Then someone on the pitch forgets to tie their lace ! Suddenly Robin ploughs through the field with the ball, He has to face a man who's six foot tall. The whistle is now blowing, The lights in the stadium are still glowing.
