My dream House

by Shirley Caroline Teresa D'souza

My dream house is so special
It’s a peaceful house
You will neither find in it bugging ants
Nor a squeaking mouse

Walls coloured in fluorescent pink
Passersby stare without a blink
Rows of wind chimes decorate balconies
When wind blows they tink-link-clink

Windows and doors operate technically
Rooms filled with sweet fragrance
Surrounded by magical compound walls
No need of a fence

Beds as soft as cotton
Comfy and cozy
Soft pillows and blankets
Keep us dreamy and dozy

Do you know what makes
My dream house special?
It’s made with values I treasure,
Love, Trust, Smile, and Warmth,
Those are foundation stones of my dream house!

Peace, I feel

Peace is freedom I feel
Peace is war refused
Peace is when you heal
From anger that makes you bruised

Peace, I feel is happiness
Along with love and contentment
Peace when you give to someone
Is worth millions you lent

Peace I feel is forgiveness
Between lifelong friends and foe
Peace I hope is long term
It fills your heart’s empty wells

Peace is divine indeed
Its makers blessed by all
All it takes to make peace
Is Love, Contentment, Understanding and Forgiveness
Whatever the situation is
Big or Small!

Peace, Peace, Peace
Let’s make Peace!

Dear Shirley , I did not believe that you are so good in writing poems when I first read your Poem I did not believe that this is written by you , I only came to know from you itself that when I asked ,you told me that you wrote this poem less than 30 mins .

In the school Competition, I believe your School Don’t give you any time to prepare and come to write you have to write these poems on the spot and you were always selected for a prize in your school. If I am not wrong what you told me this. Same time I thanked my god, to giving me such a wonderful daughter, who can write so good Poems in this age, I pray to god that to give you good health and your entire wish come true.

I am very proud to be your DAD. God bless you, and I hope you will contribute very good poems to this World and I believe your name will always be remembered through your poems. I once again wish you Good Luck. Your loving dad Stanley,
