Albert W D'Souza, a noted businessman and a well-known humble worker of the society, had a unique milestone in his life. He is the only one from the Latin rite of India who is given the pleasure to delegate our country in the conference, entitled 'The Business Executive: Social Responsibility and Globalization' and attended by more than 80 participants from different key countries. The conference was jointly organized by the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace and the International Union of Christian Business Executives (UNIAPAC) in Rome on 5th & 6th of March 2004.

Pope John Paul II also gave a special audience to Albert and honoured him on 6th of March 2004 considering his selfless service to the community in various aspects.
Albert W D'Souza, has come up in life with his hard work and dedication. Coming from a small village called Pangala which is near Udupi of Karnataka, Albert is now heading his own printing press 'Printania Offset Pvt Ltd' which employs several hundred workers. He is instrumental in forming Model Co-op Bank Ltd with the help of John D'Silva. He is the one who worked hard to get permission to start engineering colleges with Catholic minority status like St Francis Institute of Technology, Borivali, Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Kurla, both in Mumbai, St Joseph's Engineering College, Mangalore and the management college St Francis Institute of Management and Research, Borivali, Mumbai. He is the catalyst to setup Karuna Hospital, Borivali, Mumbai with modern amenities. He has also received the Rachana 'Industrialist of the year 2003' award from the defence minister George Fernandes.
