election : South Kanara still a Stronghold for BJP - Yeddi
Mr. VR Lobo, if you have hatred towards a particular religion, let be it. But due to this hatred please not justify thieves and &*in other parties in a dignified forum like F2F in Daijiworld. ALL POLITICIANS ARE EQUAL, some are ready to sell country and Yeddi is not in them.

London: Fatwa Made Me Stronger: Salman Rushdie
Mr. Rushdie.. What u did was a unforgettable crime. A death sentence is a minutest thing. Nothing in this world has proved any discrepancies in that TRUE WAY OF LIFE. It's a everlasting TRUTH. BOOKS & CARTOONS WILL ONLY STRENGTHEN & IMPROVE OUR FAITH U KNOW THAT. Dynasties & Dictators, Kings & Kingdoms were wiped-out without a trace. There's no right time for right job.

India is a Bad Place to be a Mum
Its quite sad to see the survey report. While conducting survey one has to keep the size and population of the country too. But as far as respect to mothers and women I belive India is the best in the world."Mathra Devo Bhava" is practically only in India comparing the vast population.

election : Mangalore: Stage set for Congress President Sonia Gandhi's Visit to City
Dear PSV, Thanks. I agree with you whole heartedly. We all should introspect if we have done something to help such persons. I think it was Jesus who said …. before pointing at a spec in someone else’s eye, worry about the beam in your own ….. or something like that. I am not a hypocrite and I do what I have to do to help the deserving. The whole point of my observation in the first place was the irony of the photograph. The high and the mighty are scheming (or they appear to) to grab more power and plan for the reception for the highest and the mightiest of the land. The poor man on crutches is aloof to what is going on in his immdidte vicinity and appears to worry about from where his next mean will come. No offense meant for anyone. Daiji – Publish this photograph in “Picture of the moment”.

Touching photo indeed (the very first one at the top) Thanks JDS, happy that people are noticing what is happening in real world. Let them help the disabled ones & poors who cannot afford to buy a meal for the day instead of spending so much on publicity. Why do they bother to? Their family is safe & fine what if the poor die out of hunger or illness? They should be ashamed of their cunning behaviour towards public.

M'lore: Permude, Ekkar Residents Allege Filing of False Case, Stage Protest

I am a native of Permude village. I have had a review of so called high handed approached by the authorities undermining the sentiments of locals and thereby damaging the fabric woven on democratic values. We have been living in this area for generations and hence, every nook & cranny/corner of our locality reminds us of our childhood memories. Therefore, this place is very close to our heart and hence, has sentimental value which can never be evaluated in terms of commercial parameters. “United we stand, divided we fall”.

Locals have started realizing the gravity of the issue and they can no longer take the matter lying down. Act is the blossom of thought, and joy and suffering are its fruit. All have to put their minds and hearts together with a view to arrive at a mutually beneficial solution so as to ensure better future for our younger generation. We all have a right to reap the benefit of development process that is taking place in our region. Local administration (Panchayat) has a social responsibility towards the community welfare of the people in the region and hence, high handed approach by the Land Acquisition squad is an indication that they are not following rules of the game to achieve their set goals. KIADB are also one of the stake holders in the proposed Mangalore SEZ Limited and their role in depriving benefits of local people was the bone of contention which led the peace loving local people to protest against the Land Acquisition authorities.

We all need to escape from the clutches of land acquisition with a view to do justice to our younger generation. We are talking about 9.2% growth but it is time for all of us to look at how other India survives. If we lose our houses & surrounding property, we will have to start all over again elsewhere which will be an uphill task and this type of approach will only widen the gap between shining and sighing India. The village upbringing has given me enough insight to the lives of farming community and dignity of labour vis-à-vis our traditional family occupation in agriculture but this type of approach is gradually diminishing in our younger generation. We need to instil those values in our younger generation and focus on farming to achieve self reliance on food generation. Prices for essential commodities are rising and hence, it is a wake up call for all of us to put our minds and hearts together with a view to influence our younger generation on agriculture oriented activities.

A very warm "Welcome" to Smt.Sonia Gandhi to our dear city .Your stature, noble out look ,and able leadership I'm sure is certainly going to boost the prospects of the Congress in the coastal belt and Karnataka is heading towards a Congress led government assuming office if the predictions of CNNIBN and other TV channels barring NDTV are right. One hopes that our state comes out of the shackels of the mining lobby of Bellary controlled by the corrupt and cunning Reddy's and a clean administration is provided by experienced and dignified people like S.M.Krishna.All the best to AICC President on her maiden visit to Mangalore .

Touching photo indeed (the very first one at the top). Presents the contrasting world of the HAVEs (and who want to have even more, both, power and wealth) and the HAVE NOTs. Did anyone notice the poor, one-legged person on crutches with torn shirt behind Janardhana Poojari? Did any of these so called “jana sevakaru” even bothered to have a second look at him or helped him in anyway? Surely not. In all probability, this poor man does not have a vote and that means, he does not exist for our politicians. And, we talk about social justice and equality !!! As the Tulu proverb goes “Oriyeg thindh sankata, oriyeg benddh sankata”. God help our India.

What the hell going on? Said chap is o.k in politics? the way he act and show his personality looks like he is having fun with his dad's money or people’s money.. We don't need such show up guys in politics. He should walk and discuss the matter with people if he or his party wants to get vote, not like sitting or standing in car as if Mangalore belongs to him... it's shame our local leaders bring such young politician who spoil the image

Rules or laws when they are made are meant for all. All citizens of India need to comply with it whether he is a an ordinary individual or Jyotiraditya scindia. The police officer need to be punished for voilating the terms and conditions fixed for campaigning and also strict action needs to be taken against scindia too. Thanks Sunil Kumar Bajal and Muneer Katipalla for voicing strong protest and waking the common man from deep slumber!

Devegowda and sons will not and cannot be out of politics. JDS is still a force to reckon, and I fully agree with Devegowda when he mentioned that there will be no government without JDS. No party will get absolute majority, as every party has got a strong base in various parts of Karnataka.
