This article by Dr. Anand & Geetha Pereira really brings forth the sad and helpless plight of not only wildlife , flora & fauna but the very coexistence of man and nature . They say that there is enough in this world for 'Every man's need' , but not enough for 'A man's greed'. Today we have our politicians conducting a drama in Bellary a district which has been devasted and turned into a desert by our greedy mining mafia. Which ever party is at the helm of affairs really does not matter as it's almost become their birthright to destroy whatever little is left of the Forest areas .After all the Forest Department is usually controlled by the Chief Minister (Or a puppet Forest Minister) .

We are blessed to have a few nature lovers like Dr. Anand & Geetha Pereira who through their dedicated lives have been constantly been enlightening us of the happenings and their photographs say it all. We hope their message reaches the powers that matter and some sense prevails and a fresh legislation is brought about to totally ban deforestation in our State and atleast retain the little forest area is left .
