Playing God with Sex

Part 1

Is God Outdated?
Objective Morality vs Individual Relativism

[Prologue: While homosexuality is as old as history, LGBT activists in the west have gradually turned it into a revolution in the last few decades. They are challenging what has been accepted, for eons, about sex and the human body. What is worrying is the legislation of ideas that were once considered immoral and harmful to society.

It is a war between truth and ideology. LGBT activists say archaic laws have no place in a modern world. But, have the new legislations benefitted society, or caused more pain, suffering and deaths?

According to the Bible, ALL disorders are the result of our fallen nature. God does not exclusively condemn homosexuality, as it is so often portrayed.

When I use words like immoral and evil, I am talking about the behaviour, lies and spiteful lobbying that is a feature of the LGBT movement. This article is not an attempt to undermine any condition (because they are real); nor to demean any person.

The first half of this article explores what truth is and why it is critical to understand it, particularly in the context of what is happening today.

Some friends have asked me, “Why so much interest?” My response is, Why not! I believe when we stand for nothing; we fall for anything.]

First, some definitions:

Homosexual: A person who is sexually attracted to the person of his/her own sex. (Not all who have this condition may actually practice it.)

Transgender: A person whose sense of personal identity and gender does not correspond with his/her birth sex. (Example: A boy who identifies as a girl.)

Transpecies: A person who identifies himself/herself as another animal. (Example: A girl who identifies as a cat, or any numerous varieties of animals.)

Intersex: A person whose ambiguous genitalia make it difficult to put them into a definitive category of male or female.

In the above group, only Intersex is a proven genetic condition. However, transgenders are often clubbed together with intersex people. At the common man’s level, it is out of ignorance. However, LGBT activists deliberately attempt to portray ‘trans’ people as “born that way,” much the same way they try to portray homosexuals.

Broadly, those who indulge in homosexual behaviour and LGBT activists, insist that there is nothing wrong with same-sex lifestyle. They also generally take the stance that, “Nobody has the right to tell us what to do with our body.”

The LGBT movement has taken transgenderism to another level. It is an ideology that declares, “There is no such thing as male or female.” (This is self-contradictory because they still insist on a gender of their choice.) However, some say they are ‘bi-gender’, ‘tri-gender’, or ‘pan-gender’. Still, some say they have no gender, identifying themselves as ‘a-gender’, or ‘non-gender’.

The Bible says God created us; He made a female to partner with a male - both for bearing fruits as well for familial reasons. The Bible also says that our body is a temple of God and, therefore, we are required to keep it undefiled. As our Creator, He has put in place moral absolutes.

Now, either the LGBT activists are right; or God is. Logically, both can be wrong; but, both cannot be right.

Like it or not, opinions have no place in matters of truth. But, how does one determine truth from perception? From a philosophical perspective, there are at least two simple ways to define it:

1. Truth is that which corresponds to reality.
2. Truth is that which matches its object (also called objective truth).

To illustrate, if I claim the colour of my car is silver and in reality it is; that would be an objective truth (the car being the object). If I claim the colour of my car is blue when in reality it is not; objectively, that would be false. Further, if I say that my car is cool and sexy, then that would be construed as a subjective claim because it is based on MY (the subject’s) opinion, feeling or perception; and, therefore, it would not qualify as an objective truth.

In the context of this article, we will see that all claims from the LGBT activists are a “me, my” (subjective) thing, while they project it as fact.

God’s Word is often referred to as Truth.

People, who align themselves with liberalism, find words like ‘immoral’ offensive; and when they are faced with an objective truth, they claim that there is no such thing as moral or immoral, right or wrong. However, if you steal from the very person who makes that claim, he will quickly have you behind bars! What it establishes is that such people decide what is moral or immoral based on their conveniences.

Ironically, even a person who challenges God’s moral authority wants a world with “order” in it. But, can this work when there is no moral standard to refer to? How can we know an inch is really an inch? And imagine the chaos without a standardized scale!

But, who should decide right from wrong for human beings? The answer comes from simple logic. No one refers to a washing machine’s instruction manual to operate their mobile phone! If God has created us, then He alone knows what is good for us.

That brings us to the next question: Can man decide what is moral and immoral by excluding God from the picture frame? I absolutely don’t think so. If left only to us, laws would be based on what suits us best! Even with laws in place, we are seeing how, with impunity, they are violated.

There are also believers who, depending on what they are up to, feel that God is not in tune with the present times. For a moment, let’s put the do-not-commit-adultery commandment to the test. I agree it is 3,500 years old, but is it anti-social and outdated? Even in the ultra-modern 21st century, adultery is still the biggest marriage killer.

Worldwide, an estimated 35 million people die annually from smoking, drinking, excessive food intake, and diseases directly attributed to lazy lifestyle. Guess what; gluttony and sloth are identified as major sins in the Bible!

We can call God an old fool, but at our own peril, and the peril of others.

At sex and pro-choice rallies, the messages commonly used in defiance of God’s prohibitions are: It is my body; I can do what I want with it, and so on. This has resulted in the murder of an estimated 1.72 billion unborn children worldwide in the last 40 years. In USA alone, about 60 million abortions have taken place since the practice was legalized 45 years ago.

In all fairness, though, let’s examine the claim, “It’s my body.” The way I see it, I can say, “This is my cake,” provided I have made it, or bought it. But, we don’t create our own bodies. Ugly or pretty; dark or fair; tall or short, whether we like our bodies or not, there is a mystery to our existence; and, the fact that we have a conscience only deepens it.

As for sex, even from a naturalistic perspective, it is complementary by design and only meant for procreation. But, God also made it wonderful and wholesome for human beings.

Over the years, as countries began to legalize same-sex marriage – buckling under the weight of political correctness - more and more homosexuals began to declare their lifestyle. Now transgenders are coming ‘out of the closet’. If homosexuality is all about redefining sex; transgenderism attempts to redefine the very biology, anatomy and physiology of the human body. But, that’s not all.

As things presently stand, we have kids who identify as bear cubs, cats, dogs, worms, aliens and the list goes on and on. ‘Transpecies’ is also being promoted as a biological condition. Consider this mission statement found in www.transpeciessociety.com: “The Transpecies Society gives voice to non-human identities; raises awareness of the challenges transpecies face; advocates for the freedom of self-design and [offers the development of new senses and organs.]”

Logically, how can anyone know they are someone or some creature they are not? We can’t even put ourselves – so to speak - in the shoes of someone who is suffering from a headache. So, how can we KNOW that we belong to a gender or species not compatible with our biology?

There is a huge difference between reality and perception; fact and fiction; physiology and psychology; but, apparently, for some there are no black and white latitudes – and their grey comes in hundreds of variations.

The LGBT community and their lobbyists are a minority, but their vociferous and vitriolic campaigns have rattled schools, colleges, homes, and caused a lot of confusion among small children. Universities that were built on truth, and encouraged freedom of expression, are being choked by legislations. Evidently, democratic principles are being sacrificed at the altar of sex.

People in high offices are fully behind it! When Barack Obama was in power, his administration gave a directive that bathrooms should be gender neutral. He threatened to pull back government funding if any public institution would not comply.

In Canada, teachers are required by law to address students based on their choice of pronouns. These are not our everyday pronouns, but they may soon find a way into books: ‘xi’, ‘xis’ ‘xer’, ‘zi’, ‘zix’, among others.

In a televised debate, a biologically perfect and good-looking woman, could not understand why people find it hard to refer to her as “they”.

One student at a campus was asked if he identifies as Tyrannosaurus Rex. He replied with a smile, “No, that would be too much.” And identifying as a bear is not!

I wonder if governments will next allow a serial rapist – who claims that he is a woman in a man’s body – to spend his jail term in a prison for women?

In many states in the USA, they are encouraging school children to decide which sex and race they belong to – and parents cannot do anything about it!

Richard Dawkins, an Oxford University professor, and a belligerent atheist, has said time and again that “mild pedophilia is not that bad and does not cause any lasting harm.” According to him, “mild date rape” is also not as bad as being raped by a stranger.

Leaders who fight hard to push this new revolution claim that this is all about accommodating everyone. But, I believe there is much more to it, and I will go as far as to say that it is evil, as these examples show:

I remember seeing in an issue of TIME magazine back in the 80’s, pro-abortion women holding placards that had this catchy caption, “Keep your rosaries out of our ovaries.” Fast forward and now there is a lobby that wants to remove “women have ovaries” and “men have testes” from text books.

A school in the USA sent out a questionnaire to their 8th graders and one question was this: How would you know if sex between homosexuals is not good if you have not tried it?

Tiny tots, in another school, are shown a crayon with yellow wrapping. After peeling off the wrapping to reveal a red crayon - which naturally surprises the kids - the ‘wise’ teacher explains, “You may look like a boy on the outside, but you could actually be a girl from the inside.”

In many states in USA, it is against the law for a clinical psychologist to guide a person out of gender dysphoria through psychotherapy alone. Lobbyists don’t want that because it would prove that the condition is treatable.

Though plenty, here’s one last one: In a school in USA, a third grader asked visiting activists from a gay organization the meaning of the word “fisting”. Using the fist for sexual pleasure is common practice among the gay population (and they believe this is normal and natural), and this kid had picked it up on the internet. The group held a demonstration using dummies in a booth they set up outside school.

Speaking strongly against transgenderism, Pope Francis in 2016 said, “Today, in schools they are teaching this to children – to children – that everyone can choose their gender.” He blamed this on textbooks supplied by “persons and institutions who donate money”. He has termed this movement “ideological colonization.” The Pope went to the extent of saying, “We are living a moment of annihilation of man as image of God.” How right he is! Evidently, 3-year-olds are making declarations like, “I look like a boy, but I am actually a girl.”

In the UK, a government-affiliated health service dealing with gender identity issues for those under the age of 18 experienced a 2,000% increase in patient referrals since 2009. For children under the age of 6 the referrals increased by 400%. Experts have warned that the huge spike is due mainly to the promotion of transgender issues in schools which they say has encouraged children to question their identity, and sowed confusion in their minds.

The trend is growing in India, too. The recent surge for sex-change operations has taken doctors by surprise. Dr. P.S. Bhandari, who heads the Lok Nayak Hospital's plastic surgery unit, says, "Ten years ago, we would not get one or two such cases in one year. But now, we are getting three to four requests every month."

India may soon become a global hub for sex-change surgeries as investors have realized there is something in it for everyone. In Thailand, it is already a competitive business as clinics offer discounts to lure clients.

The core question remains: Can you really change a person from being of one sex to another with synthetic hormones and sex-change surgeries? As many, who have gone through such treatments and surgeries attest, the short answer is “no”.

Surgeons say that science is progressing and one day they will be able to turn a man into a “complete” woman and vice versa. Let’s assume that happens in the future. But, suppose the person making this claim gets a life sentence for a crime he did not commit, based on the prosecutor’s assurance that evidence will be produced in the future, would he happily walk into prison? I think we all know the answer.

Part 2

Refuting LGBT Claims

So, what is the truth in this matter? Let’s look at some of the claims made by the LGBT community, and their activists; and whether there is any scientific basis to their claims:

The claim: Homosexuality is genetic and they have found the gene responsible for it.

There is no ‘homosexual’ gene, just as there is no ‘heterosexual’ gene, ‘rapist’ gene, ‘pedophilia’ gene, or an ‘adulterer’ gene. While many “paid” studies insist that it is a factual claim, there is one major stumbling, scientific truth, they cannot get out of.

In identical (monozygotic) twins, the DNA make up is exactly that – identical. If there is a gene responsible for homosexual behaviour, then the concordance rate among identical twins would not be as low as 4%. Only a 99.99% concordance rate makes it a viable claim.

Further, if the condition is genetic, homosexuals would not be able to give up their behaviour and lead a heterosexual lifestyle, including having children. The LGBT activists say that such people are not “true” homosexuals. But, plainly, the very fact that homosexuals can switch from one lifestyle to another shows that it is a matter of making a choice. One thing is certain though: DNA does not change.

The above examples show that it has something to do with nurture, not nature.

The claim:
Homosexuality is all about love and we support it out of love.

Homosexuals change partners throughout their active life and the “demand” is for younger and younger partners. Some gays have had sex with more than a thousand different partners. Among heterosexuals that would easily be called lust, not love. If that’s considered normal, then what difference is there between animals and humans?

Statistics also clearly prove that homosexual men and women run an [abnormally high risk] of potentially fatal diseases. In fact, there are illnesses not found among people who practice natural sex – like fecal incontinence. And to think that they demonstrate the practice of ‘fisting’ to small kids. Who encourages children to do something that is so dangerous to their health? Certainly not a person who knows what true love means.

The claim: Same-sex marriage is normal/natural, so it should be morally acceptable and people should have the right to choose what to do.

People also have cancer, diabetes, schizophrenia, depression, alcoholism, drug addiction, pedophilia, and other maladies, but no one considers these normal.

Camille Paglia, who is a [Lesbian], Critic and Academic, says, “Homosexuality is not ‘normal’. On the contrary, it is a challenge to the norm. Nature exists and procreation is its single relentless rule. That is the norm. Our sexual bodies were designed for reproduction. Man fits woman; no linguistic game playing can change that biological fact.”

Recently, when I mentioned to a friend that I was working on this article, he argued that homosexuality is observed in nature, so there can be nothing wrong in practicing it.

Cyclones, earthquakes, infections, are also part of nature, but they are not constructive. In animals, homosexual behaviour is out of playfulness or show of dominance. Animals of the same sex don’t copulate.

There are also people who engage in bestiality. Is that natural, too? There is a complementary design that makes natural sex between a man and a woman possible, which is not possible between same-sex partners. I know I will sound blunt - and I am sorry if this hurts anyone – but, if it is natural, why would women use artificial means to have “intercourse”?

The thing is, what’s in nature does not always mean it is in accordance with it. Even evolutionists cannot deny that the natural force which drives animals to have sex is procreation. Otherwise, extinction is just a few hundred years away.

The claim: If it is between two consenting adults, no one should have a problem with it. Homosexuality does not affect society.

If there is one way of distracting someone from the fundamental question of whether homosexuality is moral or immoral, this would be it. Still, there is a major problem. Does this claim also apply to a brother and sister having a conjugal relationship? Most people would cringe at the very idea. But, that’s precisely the problem with individualism.

I will not dwell much on how homosexuality affects society, except to say how dangerous it can be with this one example. Despite advances in medical technology, there remains a window period during which HIV cannot be detected. Some countries have banned self-declared homosexual persons from donating blood (note: not everyone declares their homosexual lifestyle); while other countries have lifted the ban due to concerns of discriminating against homosexual people. So, the next time you need a transfusion, what guarantee is there that you are not going to get tainted blood? LGBT activists are so concerned about feelings that they don’t care about the real danger to public.

The claim: Jesus never spoke against same-sex marriage. Why should it be considered immoral?

This is a growing claim and, wittingly or unwittingly, it comes from people who have not even read the Bible! They simply parrot what they have heard from others. Some even claim that God is “in tune with the times” and that He allows same-sex unions.

First things first, Jesus was never asked about same-sex marriage. However, when asked about divorce, He said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore [a man] shall leave his father and his mother and [hold fast to his wife], and the two shall become one flesh’? (Matthew 19:4–5).” Jesus was quoting from the Old Testament (Genesis 2:24).

In effect, Jesus clarified His position not only on divorce; but reminded people that there is also an embargo on homosexual unions and adultery.

Will those who give so much credence to Jesus also accept His divinity? After all, that is what He claimed to be. Or, is He just a convenience store for us to visit only when we want something?

Lastly, God’s Word is unchanging. The Bible says, “Your word, LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens (Psalms 119:89).” Jesus Christ also said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Luke 21:33”

Claim:
If so many are doing it, then it has to be okay.

I was counselling a young man whose homosexual feelings became stronger after he went abroad to pursue higher studies. By looking at the “many” students who were open about their homosexual lifestyle, he began to feel that it had to be okay.

I shared both God’s revelations and data from non-religious sources with him. He did put up a good “fight”, but in the end acknowledged that I had given him a lot to think about.

In reality, the LGBT population in USA represents only 3.8% of the population. In several other countries, the estimate is 2%. These lifestyles or conditions are the [exception], not the [rule]. They seem “many” because of their loud propaganda and parades. Of course, being in the minority does not necessarily mean they are wrong; but, as we can see, there are other criteria that don’t support their claims.

The claim:
Homosexuality, like heterosexuality, is also safe.

This claim is logically inconsistent. If it was safe, then LGBT activists have to explain why they need to “educate” their community on ‘safe practices’. Further, the money spent by governments in western countries runs in billions of dollars each year on treatments of various diseases that are abnormally high among them.

Dr Paul Church is a urologist and member of the prestigious Harvard Medical School faculty. He has done research on diagnosing prostate and bladder cancer, and has been a frequent volunteer for medical missions in Mexico and Africa. He reveals, “The evidence is irrefutable that behaviors common within the homosexual community are unhealthy and high risk for a host of serious medical consequences, including STD's, HIV and AIDS, anal cancer, hepatitis, parasitic intestinal infections, and psychiatric disorders. Life expectancy is significantly decreased as a result of HIV/AIDS, complications from the other health problems, and suicide. This alone should make it reprehensible to the medical community, who has an obligation to promote and model healthy behaviors and lifestyles.”

A study published in Canada's International Journal of Epidemiology in 1997, and confirmed by a 2005 American study conducted by Dr Paul Cameron, shows “gay men die an average of 20 years younger than straight men.”

This is from the findings of the Center for Disease Control & Prevention in USA: “STDs have been rising among gay and bisexual men, with increases in syphilis being seen across the country. In 2014, gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men accounted for 83% of primary and secondary syphilis cases. Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men often get other STDs, including chlamydia and gonorrhea infections. HPV (Human papillomavirus), the most common STD in the United States, is also a concern for gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men. Some types of HPV can cause genital and anal warts and some can lead to the development of anal and oral cancers. Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men are 17 times more likely to get anal cancer than heterosexual men. Men who are HIV-positive are even more likely than those who do not have HIV to get anal cancer.”

The claim:
Even heterosexual couples can get infected with HIV

This is true, but only when one or both partners become unfaithful.

The claim: Homosexuals suffer depression, drug abuse and suicidal tendencies because of harassment

If this is true, then why do they suffer from these conditions in countries like Holland and Sweden where homosexuality is widely practiced and accepted?

Further, many legislations have been passed in favour of homosexuals to an extent that the freedom of expression of the general population has been suppressed.

It may still not be smooth sailing for all homosexuals, but I believe the bigger cause could be an ongoing psycho-somatic conflict - God or no God - between their bodily urges and their conscience. Apparently, being bold does not help.

The claim: Homosexual couples can also be faithful

Let’s face it - being faithful is tough even for heterosexual couples. With homosexual couples, the rate of infidelity is abnormally higher and this has something to do with the condition itself.

One writer, who is also a strong sympathizer with the gay community, explains: “It must be remembered that in the gay world the only real criterion of value is physical attractiveness. The young homosexual will find that his homosexual friends usually only care for him as a sexual object. Since the sole criterion of value in the homosexual world is physical attractiveness, being young and handsome in gay life is like being a millionaire in a community where wealth is the only criterion of value (Source: Hoffman).

Aging is viewed particularly negatively in the homosexual culture, with high value placed on youth (Source: Bell and Weinberg).

McWhirter and Mattison carried out a study that was undertaken [to prove that gay male relationships last]. The authors’ themselves were a homosexual couple, one a psychiatrist, the other a psychologist. They reported: “The expectation for outside sexual activity was the rule for male couples and the exception for heterosexuals. Heterosexual couples lived with some expectation that their relationships were to last “until death do us part,” whereas gay couples wondered if their relationships could survive.

The claim: Transgenderism and other ‘trans’ conditions are genetic.

As with homosexuals, these conditions are not biological. If one identical (monozygotic) twin has a transgender condition, then a close to 100% concordance rate should be the rule, not the tiny exception that has been observed.

If this condition is genetically hardwired, how can a person who always identified himself or herself as a transgender return to his or her actual biological sex without medical intervention?

I think this story exposes all the lies behind the claim. At age 46, a man named Paul left his wife and seven children after 23 years of marriage. He said he always felt he was a little girl. His present age is 54, but the ‘little girl’ inside is still 6 years old. He has taken the name Stefonknee Wolscht; he dresses up like a little girl and plays with dolls. If the condition is biological, and he is really a little girl, then (a) Why is the girl in him not growing? (b) How did he perform sexually and have children? In his own words he says that he does not WANT to go back to being a man.

The claim: Medical interventions are a must when they are young

The truth is, up to 98% of children grow out of their gender confusion without parents having to do anything. The LGBT activists and the legislations in some countries, that do not allow children to develop naturally, are the cause behind the growth in transgenderism.

The claim:
Sex-change surgeries actually work.

There are at least 6,500 genetic differences between men and women! Sex-change surgeries are like painting a lemon red and calling it an apple.

Dr Paul McHugh, a leading psychiatrist at Johns Hopkins Hospital, says that the changes are merely cosmetic. Dr. McHugh was the same person who once gave his “okay” to transgender patients for undergoing sex-change surgeries. However, he says, proper follow-ups revealed his patients had not changed from within. On his recommendation, the hospital closed down the sex-reassignment surgery unit.

Suicidal tendency among transgenders - both before and after surgeries - is 9 times higher than the general population; and, in some countries, it is 20 times higher. This confirms that there are deep psychological issues with people who suffer from transgender dysphoria.

Walt Heyer underwent surgery to alter his sex at age 42 and lived as a woman named Laura Jensen for eight years. Heyer says the surgery and hormonal treatments failed to address his underlying psychological issues. All too late he realized “transgenderism was a surgical masquerade to superficially project a change of gender.” He adds, “I painfully discovered it was only a temporary fix to deeper pain.”

Heyer has pointed what is perhaps the CRUX of the problem, “No one is dealing with the dissociative disorder, the bipolar disorders, the schizophrenia, excessive compulsive issues and all of those other psychological disorders that make up the driving cause for people desiring to change sexes. I get letters all the time from so many people who regret it, and many who identify as transgenders today send me letters thanking me for what I’m doing.”

After undergoing therapy, and turning his life to Christ, Heyer says he was able to accept his biological reality and return to living as a man.

Conclusion

Sex and sexuality is not who we are. “I am gay,” or, “I am straight,” or, “I am bisexual” is not our identity.

We hear friends cheering someone’s homosexuality as “great”. In what way is being gay/lesbian; or, even being straight a great thing? What we do with our bodies is not what defines us. So many have understood this and have embraced a life of celibacy – the saints, the priests, the nuns, and the ‘sanyasis’, while some simply choosing to remain single.

A man could marry a woman who is considered a sex symbol. But, what happens if a few years later an accident puts her in a wheel chair; or, due to an illness, she is not able to give him that “happiness”?

The Bible says God has made us in His image and likeness. It is, therefore, troubling to see human beings using animals to support their sexual behaviour.

Jesus Christ led a perfect life and remained celibate during his earthly sojourn. If our sexuality defined who we are, then He would have entered into some conjugal relationship to demonstrate its absolute essentiality.

Homosexuals can hate God all they want; some can even say that He does not exist, but there is no denying the truth that homosexual behaviour is extremely unsafe and equally dangerous.

As for whether you are a man or a woman, the reality is in your biology. There are an estimated 75-100 trillion cells in a human body; and, the ‘male’ or ‘female’ signature appears in every single cell. The sex of a baby is imprinted in the DNA at the time of conception itself - no technology on Earth can change that. Thoughts, feelings and perceptions are not stamped in the DNA – they develop and constantly change as the child grows.

If you think you are someone you are biologically not, then it has something to do with your perception. There is not a single test to confirm if a boy is actually a girl (or vice versa), except taking the person’s word for it. Even if you were to walk into a police station and tell the cops that you are a murderer; you would be required to prove it. The way things are: feelings cannot change physical reality.

Even after sex-change surgeries, potentially harmful, synthetic hormonal treatments must continue for life. They are a constant reminder that you are trying to become someone you are not. How can you ever get around something that is so logically counter-intuitive?

If an anorexic woman, weighing 35 kilograms walks into a clinic and persistently tells the doctor that she is overweight; the doctor will not put her through liposuction, or weight loss treatment. Similarly, if a girl - suffering from Body Integrity Identity Disorder - walks into a clinic with perfectly functioning legs and insists that those are not her legs and she wants them amputated, the doctor will not oblige her. In both cases, the doctor will recommend the patients for psychotherapy.

However, if an 18-year-old girl, who identifies as a man, persistently tells the same doctor that she needs a double mastectomy; he is required to put her through complex hormonal treatments and transform her surgically.

In all the cases, the conditions are psychological, but miraculously transgenderism is considered a biological condition.

Our perceptions are influenced by our environment and they are in constant flux. That is why it is so critical to apply logical reasoning when making life’s decisions. You may also want to listen to the testimonies of people who have placed their trust in God and rediscovered their true biological self. Even if you don’t believe in a Creator, the problem is solvable with counselling and psychotherapy alone.

Jesus Christ is not against anyone’s happiness and joy. In fact, He said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.”

True lasting joy does not come from pleasures outside of God’s will and design. The craving grows as you begin to indulge, but in the end they leave you empty and frustrated. And, as many have discovered, they come at the cost of pain and suffering.

C S Lewis (an atheist-turned-Christian) said, “God cannot give us happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.”

    Vinod, Mangalore:

I think you would do well to read about the testimonies of people who have given up their homosexual lifestyles and those who have regretted undergoing sex change surgeries.
We know many things are wrong, but we still do it! The person who kills another person knows the consequence of his actions, but he still does it. He is faced with a life time of shame, but he still does it!

I have clearly said that the LGBT condition is real. I am not against that. I am certainly against the LGBT activists promoting it as something normal.

As for your last question, homosexuality and transgenderism is celebrated in many countries. No one deliberately chooses such a lifestyle; it is something that comes about through nurture and other influences; but, the conditions are not genetic. The question that you should be asking is: When you know that something has been scientifically established as not natural; why not try to get help? The fact is: there is help. Again, listen to the testimonies of people who have given up their homosexual lifestyle. It is not easy, in fact it can be very difficult, but it is possible.

It is sad that in some countries people humiliate and ridicule the LGBT community, but we don’t live in a perfect world. Today, Christians in western countries are ridiculed for their faith and sometimes mocked. I believe future generations are going to see many worse things, before things begin to improve. At least that is what I hope will happen.

No, transgenders don’t have to lead that life till their death because as I mentioned in my article, the condition is treatable by counselling and psychotherapy. I think you are talking about the intersex condition, which is – sadly – life long.

Its sad that you are equating the bullying and torture to kids to the "lies" told by LGBT.
We are born with some gender and their is not an ounce of our own contribution for us to be a male or female. The decision of accepting our sexual identity is not just base on physical gender.
If brainwashing was so easy all kids would be divine hearing good words at church and Catechishm every week and by parents. But thats not the case..
End of the day we do what we wish or believe!!
If LGBT you think is a choice who on earth would choose a life like that, where you are thrown out of the house or leave the house as you are hated and humiliated. Choosing a life where there is no dignity and ridicule by society.
The transgenders lead that life till their death. I dont know how you say its a choice just because our feeling is aligned with our gender.

    Dear Mr. Rodrigues,
The first part of my article delved on the dangers of thinking that God’s laws are outdated. The entire article points, statistically and factually, to what happens when we break those “old” laws. May I ask which of the Biblical law or laws you think do not apply to modern times?
God’s truth is written firmly in heaven and again I thought my article shows that we cannot cherry pick points to suit us. There is nothing vague about MORAL laws, which are often juxtaposed with social and cultural laws.
G.K. Chesterton in 1905 observed, “When you break the big laws you do not get freedom. You get small laws.” The world is seeing exactly that. Hundreds, if not thousands, of little laws are being put in place to such a ludicrous extent that governments are telling people who can use the bathrooms! In trying to do away with God’s major laws, people have become petty minded.
As for the Pope saying that there is no hell; that is something the founder of a newspaper said the Pope told him.
Catholic Church doctrine affirms the existence of hell and its eternity. In fact, the Pope has publicly many times spoken about hell and he, including many theologians believe that hell is a separation from God. You don’t really need brimstone and fire; the separation from God alone is that painful and it is something we choose.
If you would like to continue our “conversation”, my email address oliversutari@gmail.com. However, let’s do it in the spirit of learning. Thank you.

    Dear Oliver,
My point is how can we believe the bible and apply to modern age social changes? God ==> Inspired author ==> countless scribes and copyists ==> translator ==> reader ignorance / bias / (mis)perception. Don't you think the Bible is that you can "cherry-pick" passages to argue opposite points? For that matter all holy books are vague templates that can be used and adapted according to the needs and sensibilities and awareness of each age. That is why they are often deemed to contain "timeless truths".
Even the pope recently made a radical statement that: 'There is no such place called Hell'

    Vinod, Mangalore:
There is a glaring contradiction in your comments. If we are to be accepting of what the LGBT are propagating, then why not be accepting of bullies and teachers who torture kids? Or, do we all get to pick and choose what we should fight for based on our convenience?
There is no question that it is wrong to condemn any person because of their sexuality. When you speak out against a wrong, why is it always taken as an attack against anyone?
The very kids you want to be protected from teachers who torture them, also need to be protected from the lies that are being spread in schools. Do you really think the confusion that children have to endure, and the potential diseases that they may contract someday through their disordered sexual practice, are not serious issues?
The points in my article are not my opinions; they are facts! If you think what the LGBT activists are doing is NOT wrong, please share your arguments. That way everyone could learn something, including me.

Pope Francis declares evolution and Big Bang theory are real and God is not 'a magician with a magic wand'
Francis goes against Benedict XVI’s apparent support for 'intelligent design' - but does hail his predecessor’s 'great contribution to theology'
The theories of evolution and the Big Bang are real and God is not “a magician with a magic wand”, Pope Francis has declared.

Speaking at the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, the Pope made comments which experts said put an end to the “pseudo theories” of creationism and intelligent design that some argue were encouraged by his predecessor, Benedict XVI. Francis explained that both scientific theories were not incompatible with the existence of a creator – arguing instead that they “require it”. “When we read about Creation in Genesis, we run the risk of imagining God was a magician, with a magic wand able to do everything. But that is not so, " Francis said. The Big Bang, which today we hold to be the origin of the world, does not contradict the intervention of the divine creator but, rather, requires it.~The Independent ~

When God created Man HE created him from HIS own image and likeness. Then HE saw him wondering lonely, so God said “It is not good for the man to live alone. I will make a suitable companion to help him” so HE took some soil from the ground and formed all the animals and all the birds. Then he brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and that is how they all got their names. So the man named all the birds and all the animals; but not one of them was a suitable companion to help him. Then the Lord God made the man fall into a deep sleep, and while he was sleeping, he took out one of the man’s ribs and closed up the flesh. HE formed a WOMAN out of the rib and brought her to him. Then the man said “ AT LAST HERE IS ONE OF MY OWN KIND – BONE TAKEN FROM MY BONE, AND FLESH FROM MY FLESH. WOMAN IS HER NAME BECAUSE SHE WAS TAKEN OUT FROM MAN”. That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united with his wife and they become one.

When we understand and accept the word of God which is said in the begging of our creation, those words will be sufficient to understand God’s plan for the entire HUMANKIND. HE could have paired different types of creation as couples in the beginning itself, like man to man, woman to woman, Man to Animal, a man with many woman, vice versa …NO HE did not do that, HE paired MAN with a WOMAN. So it is clear enough that rest all things were HUMAN MADE either for their selfishness or for their lust.

Dear Mr. Oliver, you have taken a bold step by writing this article, so much of thorough research is been put into it. I always admire your knowledge and wisdom, I pray to our Almighty God, thru this article may God help those who are gone away from their biological self may come back to their true origin. AMEN.

Least that can be expected is acceptance. If LGBT is wrong probably they will have to answer on the judgement day. But why all of us are being Gods while there is not an ounce of our own contributions to our sexuality and gender identity.
Instead of worrying about others sexuality we must focus on creating better individuals, protect kids from all kinds of abuse, protect students from bullied in school, protect kids from being tortured by their teachers, encourage spreading good human values, teach moral values than just learning prayers, ...... a lot will be taken care with this.

    Dear Agnello DSouza, Mangalore,
The article has not been written to condemn any person, as I have made it amply clear. It is written to condemn the practices, the lies that the LGBT advocates speak to get what they want.
Other than speaking the truth, a person does not have to do much. Truth, by its very nature, burns anyone who opposes it. And that would explain why the LGBT advocates cannot deal with the conflict within.
I don’t know if you have really gone through my article thoroughly. If you had, you would not say that I have conveniently used the Bible. It appears that you have missed out completely on the secular arguments and all the other data that destroy the claims made by the LGBT promoters.
The title of my article did not miss anything because I speak about other sex issues as well; but, one of your sentences missed something. You have said, “It would only matter if they are good citizens of this world or not.” You should have continued and added, “Regardless of the cost to the young and the innocent,” which, by the way, all court rulings and legislations also ignore. So much for political correctness!

    Dear Oliver,
I think the title of your article is has missed a word, it should have read 'Playing God with Gay Sex'. I think that's what you have done with this article using 'Gospel truth' as a convenient weapon to burn 'them' at the stake.
I wouldn't bother so much as to what sexual orientation David and Johnathan nor Ruth and Naomi are.
It would only matter if they are good citizens of this world or not.
The 2017 mature judgement of our Supreme Court considering sexual orientation as human right is welcome.

    Dear Geoffrey, Hat Hill:

You have raised a very serious question. There is ample evidence that the LGBT condition is not genetic! It is quite interesting that anything pertaining to sex is the often-asked question, though there are as many as 250 genetic mutations that cause anything from autism to cystic fibrosis to intersex conditions. The question, therefore, really is: Why is there any suffering? In my opinion, the question can only be answered theologically and philosophically and there is no space for it in this section. In its strictest sense, atheists and atheistic-evolutionists should not be asking the question because according to them we are all meaningless matter. Trying to find meaning contradicts their dogmas!

You are right; even I have not heard anything even remotely on suffering from the pulpits. The topic can be difficult for anyone because it all depends on who is asking. However, there are Catholic/Christian resources that provide good insights. You may want to look at what Tim Staples of Catholic Answers has to say on the subject. Further, although a bit tough, www.creation.com is an excellent place to visit. I also found Dr. Stanley’s “Why does God allow evil, pain, and suffering” explanation on YouTube useful.

I know one thing for certain: the question of suffering is something that must be personally meditated upon and lived within the boundaries of God’s moral laws. One might say that is not possible, but then what does one say to someone who is sexually drawn to small girls? There can be no alternative moral guidelines pertaining to sexuality.

I sincerely hope you find your answers because they are there.

While the scientific study on the relation between sexual orientation/inclination and genetics is yet to be conclusive, the religious decree stays rooted in on Mathew 19, 4-5. That's fine as far as LGBT is concerned. But what about the Intersexed who are just born that way for no fault of theirs? I've not come across any church's official stand on them. The signature on their DNA of 70 -100 trillion cells being different from that of the rest, is Mathew 19, 4-5 applicable to them as well? If not, are there any alternative moral/ethical guidelines that they have to abide by, especially pertaining to sexuality.

A clear concise well presented article.
While the debate of Morality (from a Christian standpoint) and sexual orientation has been ongoing for the past several decades now, isn't it ironical that predominantly Roman Catholic countries like Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Philippines, France etc have an open and high tolerance for people living with different sexual orientation in their societies?

It takes courage and wisdom to write about sensitive issues such as these. Apart from answering questions that play on our minds, you have imparted very valid information that people refuse to acknowledge. I myself am a therapist and student of psychology and think identity crises and gender dysphoria have not received appropriate attention and resolution.

I am open to self-exploration but not to the extent where it results in irreparable conflict and chaos. Thank you for publishing this article. It's good to hear the truth for a change. Like most movements, the laymen are only told what seems like the good stories, not the reality of pain, suffering and contradiction that form the very foundation of these issues.

For those who are unable to perceive the objective of this article, I request you to understand that this knowledge comes from a place of love and concern for humanity. I know that because of my understanding of the human mind as well as the very powerful conclusion to this article.

Keep writing. The Lord is good to those whose hearts are honest.

In the days when even great religious leaders try to be politically correct and shy away from the basic truth as revealed in the holy bible, you have courageously explained every point , in the light of science too. Well written and explained. I am reminded of a passage from Scriptures for the reason of this behaviour.
    God's Wrath on Unrighteousness
Rom 1:18 For the wrath of YAHWEH from heaven is revealed against all the iniquity and wickedness of men, who unjustly suppress the truth.
Rom 1:19 because the thing known of YAHWEH is clearly known within them, for YAHWEH revealed it to them.
    Rom 1:20 For, from the foundations of the world, the invisible things of YAHWEH are clearly seen and understood, in the things He created, even His eternal power and divinity; so that they might be without excuse;
Rom 1:21 because they knew YAHWEH, and did not glorify Him and give thanks to Him as Elohim, but became vain in their imaginations, and their unwise heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing to be wise, they became foolish
Rom 1:23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible Elohim into a likeness of an image of a corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed animals, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Because of this, YAHWEH gave them up to filthy lusts of their hearts, and their bodies to be dishonored among themselves,
Rom 1:25 who changed the truth of YAHWEH into the lie, and worshiped and served the created thing more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 Because of this, YAHWEH gave them up to dishonorable passions, for even their females changed the natural use of their sex to that contrary to nature.
Rom 1:27 And so also their males forsook the use of females, which is natural, and burned with lust toward one another, male with male, they did what is shameful, and received in themselves the just recompense of their error.
Rom 1:28 And as they did not determine within themselves to know Elohim, YAHWEH has given them over to a vain mind; that they might do what they ought not,
Rom 1:29 having been filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, iniquity, covetousness, malice, being full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, evil habits, becoming whisperers,
Rom 1:30 slanderers, haters of YAHWEH, insolent, proud, braggarts, inventors of evil things, weak minded, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 without discernment, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful,
Rom 1:32 who knowing the righteous judgment of YAHWEH, that those practicing such things He condemns to death, not only do they do them, but they also associate with those who practice them.

    Dear NN, NN:

How many women a man marries was never the scope of this article. As far as instincts are concerned, people also get the instinct to rape, which is sex related. Is it okay for someone to go with that instinct? I don’t know which religion you are talking about, but religions lay out laws for the harmonious functioning of the society. I don’t think religion “forces” humans to control that instinct – for that you would have to have one moral police next to every single person all 24 hours! Even if you take religion out, what would happen if every person acted instinctively?

I wonder how the philosopher came up with the figure on “fisting”.

To make sexual ethics subjective, we would have to remove all moral laws. I have amply demonstrated in the article that man, without God, is incapable of making uniform laws. A universe that came into existence by chance cannot explain morality. Morality is necessarily a God-construct. Synaptic firings in the brain don’t produce morality.

  • NN, NN

    Wed, Jun 13 2018

As far as sex is concerned, humans have an animal instinct. The religious teachings, customs, traditions and laws force humans to control that instinct. A man in northern part of India lives with 35 wives. In another part of India 5 brothers married to one woman. It is all acceptable under the umbrella of traditions/customs. A famous Philosopher once said, 99% of men do "fisting" and 1% who claim not doing it are liars ! Shall we say our sexual ethics are subjective and one size doesn't fit all ?

    Dear Vinod, Mangalore:

    Thank you for your comments.

People can be lured into almost anything as long as it promises happiness. However, in my article I speak about the terrible confusion transgenderism is causing, especially among vulnerable children.

    Buddhism is a non-theistic religion!

God is not the author of suffering or death, from the Biblical perspective. Perhaps one day I will write on this very subject. For the moment I will say this, though: Those who accept suffering, knowing that an omniscient God has allowed it, find peace. I know of at least two persons (one very close to me, who I miss to this very day) who peacefully embraced the impending outcome of their incurable cancers.

Those who reject God on the basis of suffering, find peace elusive. This, too, I know to be an experiential truth from the many people I have counselled over the years.

Money has a way of convincing people to lie, or even kill! It is not hard to imagine that there will be many drug companies that will stand to gain from the LGBT community. Someone has suggested that plastic surgery will be a highly lucrative career in the future.

Disruptive technology with AI will bring dramatic changes in the years to come, some of which have already started:
A robot has just been given a big privilege in Saudi Arabia, and people are questioning if it's unfair to the country's own women.

    1. Sophia the robot, made by American firm Hanson Robotics, has been officially named a citizen of Saudi Arabia — the first country in the world to grant a robot the right to citizenship.
    2. Male sex robots with bionic penises will be rolled out this year according to the pioneer of pleasure behind the popular female versions that dropped last year. Matt McMullen, founder of Realbotix, is the man who created Harmony, an artificial intelligence app that syncs up with a robotic head system. The application enables users to match an AI personality with a humanoid robot head, to create the most realistic sex doll imaginable.

    Very nice article. Very informative.
I dont think anybody in their senses can be lured to behave as what they are not.
Can we dress up as opposite sex for a week in public? Why a week, even an hour will be impossible as we donot accept ourselves as the opposite sex.
Transgenders are themselves. Nobody else can feel what they feel like. We can only judge!
In spirituality we talk about 7 layers of our existence. The body, breath, mind, intellect, memory, ego and the innermost layer the soul. Soul or our conscience is something that has not changed from the time we started identifying ourselves. A feeling can change but an identity of ourselves donot change with time.
The belief in this concept just becomes stronger when I see the transgenders. If its an act they are putting up, how long can they do that?
Accepting everyone is key as there is zero contribution from me for my gender.

And God is the same for all. Be it buddhist/christian/muslim/hindu etc..the ultimate supreme power whom we call God is the same. If the gender is just for procreation all couples MUST have be blessed with a child. But thats not the case.
If its all God’s will and design... there are so of little children in the orphanages I visit... on the streets.. What part of Gods will is that I wonder...
Is it a fight between God and Devil or its plain Karma is a question.

The problem has been there from the days of Genesis. It was probably accepted by many empires in their period of social degradation. Social media today is overreaching and so the issue is probably being discussed more openly than ever. What is frightening is the influence of social media on the younger generation - including very very young children barely out of infancy! Are they being lured into these tendencies? I tend to think so.

Will we be able to arrest this on our own? Or will we need a catastrophic reminder - from God or Nature?

    Only time will tell.
